Kindergarten Flowers
Spring is technically here but it sure hasn't felt like it. So...to help get us in the spring season, we are making FLOWERS! Kindergarten started with a free hand drawn flower. They are using warm and cool colors of chalk pastels depending on the color of paper they have chosen. After coloring their flowers they are adding accent colors and "blending"!
Look for these in the hall soon!

Kindergarten Rainbow Fish Are On Display!
Come in to Halverson and check out our fabulous fish! Kindergarten worked very hard to make these beautiful art works.
Kindergarten has now started a new lesson focusing on bears. We have talked about the upcoming spring season and how some animals will be waking from hibernation. One of those animals being the bear!
We started by painting many different tints and shades of brown onto paper. We then scratched different textures into the paint to give the paintings the look of fur. After our custom painted paper dries we will be cutting different pieces of the bear out and glueing them to a new brightly colored background.
Keeps your eyes open for them to come home soon!

1st Grade | Primary Colored Super Heros
First grade has been busy with a new lesson this week! We reviewed the primary colors and talked about how they are the MOST POWERFUL colors because they mix to make all the other colors! Today we started creating our "primary colored superheroes"! To go along with this lesson we read "Noodle Man The Pasta Superhero" by April Pulley Sayer. Check back soon to see the finished product!
