2nd Grade | Primary and Secondary Colors

One of the 2nd grade standards is to know how to mix primary colors (red, yellow, and  blue) to make the secondary colors (orange, green, and purple).

Today we practiced mixing these with crayon.  Next we will do this with paint!

Kindergarten | Glitter Pumpkins

In Kindergarten art we have been leaning and reviewing shapes.  To go along with our current holiday theme, we drew jack-o-lanterns out of shapes!  Oval pumpkin body, triangle eyes, triangle or circle nose, rectangle teeth.  Then we gave our pumpkins a "glitter bath"!  Who doesn't LOVE glitter?!!
