We reviewed the warm and cool colors. Warm: red, yellow, and orange.
Cool: blue, green, and purple
We also talked about symmetry!
First grade started by using oil pastels in either warm or cool color schemes to free hand draw their butterflies. We continued by giving our butterflies a beautiful symmetrical design on their wings. Next time, we will use watercolor paints related to the warm or cool color scheme of their choice to complete our butterflies!
