Kindergarten Shapes and Line Collage

Today in kindergarten art we reviewed shapes and lines. We discussed the more common shapes: square, rectangle, circle, and triangle. We also discussed ovals, diamonds, and a few new ones such as a paisley and an organic shape. When we are finished with the first step of cutting and gluing our shapes collage we will draw lines on them. Check back to see how we have progressed!

Standards addressed:
1. Can identify 4 basic shapes, 4 basic lines, and primary colors.
3. Demonstrate beginning skill in use of basic art tools and processes.
4. Follows directions and respects tools and equipment.

**Update**  Kindergarten has started drawing many different lines in many different colors.  They were encouraged to use the 4 lines that we have been learning: zigzag, broken, straight, and wavy.
